I haven't been posting for awhile, real life has been getting in the way...some time in Rhode Island and then back to California, then an unexpected trip home to Florida for a few weeks, now back in California and rushing to get ready for Portugal in six days, it's crept up on me all of a sudden. Although in my world, rushing to get ready for a nine-month trip basically involves waking up at 1pm, watching Project Runway reruns and several hours wandering the aisles of Trader Joe's in search of 'plane food' to supplement my Lufthansa asian vegetarian meal. Never mind that I have 5cm of space for the 8 raw food bars, or that my time would probably be better spent learning Portuguese...anyway, here are some miscellaneous photos of the past few weeks here and there:
Pageant of the Masters at Laguna Beach in early August; the farmer's market in L.A.; a stack of pancakes the size of my head at The Griddle in Fairfax; a record $55 latte at Urth Café (including the parking ticket we racked up in 5 minutes on a quiet street); L.A. Galaxy vs Real Madrid at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena; a reunion with the Duke of Zavatarello in Hollywood; the Veggie Grill at Irvine Spectrum; calamari from the Gulf back at home; sunsets & banyan trees on Boca Grande, Florida; the Fishermen's Village in Punta Gorda; a sunset somewhere over Las Vegas; and a license plate from the Sunshine State...
I'm working on a new blog for my Erasmus year on tumblr; I haven't decided on a name yet but there will be more photos up there when I do. In the meantime, Serena is in London right now and I'd like to take a quiet moment for us all to be privately jealous of her. I could really use some Rough Trade in my life right now...
Happy Tuesday!
